Vanaf 10 oktober 2026 bewonder je het werk van Dora Hitz bij DM De Buitenplaats in Eelde.
Discovered by a German princess in Munich, award-winning portraits in Paris and Florence, court painter in Romania, a prominent member of the most influential artists' associations of her time and founder of her own painting school in Berlin. Yet Dora Hitz (1853-1924) is still largely unknown in the Netherlands. Time to change that!
Drents Museum De Buitenplaats is proud to present the first solo exhibition of Dora Hitz's work in the Netherlands. From 10 October 2026 to 14 March 2027, the museum brings thirty works by Hitz to Eelde.
