Until Sunday, January 4, 2026, experience the work of Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha at Drents Museum De Buitenplaats through large projections and 3D animations.

The master of art nouveau: Alphonse Mucha

Alphonse Mucha (Czech Republic, 1860 - 1939) is internationally renowned for his posters and decorative illustrations. His work is instantly recognizable by the female figures with flowing hair, surrounded by stylized floral motifs and flowing lines, rendered in pastel colors.


Projections and specially composed music

The presentation consists of a combination and continuous alternation of projections, 3D animations, sound, and specially composed music. This immerses visitors in Mucha's work and story.

Art Nouveau at Drents Museum De Buitenplaats

The Mucha Experience is the first international Art Nouveau exhibition at Drents Museum De Buitenplaats. This exhibition is a close collaboration with Grand Palais Immersif and the Mucha Foundation.
